I recently had an interesting conversation about cilantro with a guy from work. We both got to talking about this little herb also known as "Mexican Parsley" when it was mentioned that some people call cilantro by another name, coriander. A little investigation later, I learned that they are in fact different things; more specifically, different states of the same plant. Here's what I found.
After our conversation I decided I was going to grow some fresh herbs this Spring. I hope to write more about growing, harvesting, preserving, and using fresh herbs later, but for now if you want to follow along at home you can order the same kit of six herb disks from Johnny Seeds.
Now, who knows another name for arugula?
